Drafting for US architects from Casablanca since 2022.

We're DESIGNADRAFT, a young firm based in Casablanca. We build dedicated CAD drafting teams in Morocco for US architecture firms, and we learned the work by doing it. Since 2022 we have drafted more than 2,000 jobs, about 9,000 hours, for one US architecture firm, inside its workflow and to its sheet standards.

It started with one US firm and one drafting desk.

In 2022 we began drafting for a US architecture firm, one job at a time. They sent redlines, and we sent back sheets drawn the way their architects draw. Over the next few years that grew to more than 2,000 jobs.

As the work grew, a drafter we hired in Morocco joined the firm's production. That drafter works on the firm's projects and takes direction from its architects, while we handle the employment side.

That arrangement is what we now offer every client, sized to your workload: a team you pick and run, employed and looked after by us.

How we run your team, in three general notes.

US firms that have tried offshore drafting tend to describe the same problems: people leave, the hours barely overlap, and the agency swaps drafters without asking. These notes are how we avoid them.

    You choose every person

    We shortlist two or three vetted candidates per seat. You interview them, give them your own test and decide. Nobody joins your team without your yes.

  2. NOTE 2

    Your team works only for you

    Your drafters work on your projects, in your tools and on your systems, under NDA. We never share them with other clients, and your drawings stay yours.

  3. NOTE 3

    We keep good people

    We pay above the local market, train our drafters and give them a path to team lead, and we meet each of them one to one every month. If someone leaves anyway, we shortlist a replacement within 15 business days at no charge.

Why we build teams in Morocco.

Morocco trains architects, engineers and CAD technicians every year, and many of them never get the chance to work with firms abroad. They are the people we hire.

Casablanca is four hours ahead of New York in summer and five in winter. On standard hours your team shares up to six working hours a day with US Eastern time, and a team on US hours is an option.

We work in English, French and Arabic. The US sheet conventions your team will follow are the ones we have drawn to every week since 2022.

US architecture firms and builders of any size, from a studio adding its first drafter to a large practice that needs a full production group. Most of our work is residential, multifamily and light commercial. A year-long team makes sense when the drawing keeps coming, and it grows with you.
